Maybe I was a little harsh on the old girl. I still really really like this site, maybe I shouldn’t chuck the baby out with the bath water.
Anyhoo, I am skint, s k i n t, like negative money skint. So I am fighting my natural urge for tech and stuff. The fall out of the reactivation of my student loan payments, paying off the Christmas credit card and my general rubbish budgeting is hitting home.

Why this site is fairly redundant

Okay it is 2006 and I haven’t posted in ages (6 months!).
Why I haven’t I posted anything?
Simply I designed a tech demo not a site, I was so wrapped up in transparent PNGs I lost where this site should be and what it should do. I will redevelop again with a clearer idea of what this site should do.
It will probably end up as a Personal Internet Identity Portal with an attached blog and general photo gallery.

Out with the New and in with the Old

I bumped off the iAudio X5 and Meye HT-200 after seeing them in the flesh. They are not that nice. I’ve popped in the Iriver H140 as this is a really nice mp3 player, kinda long in the tooth, but still really nice. Also added is the Vantec Nexstar, if only it supported Firewire I might consider one.
Futuristic Tech

Maybe its a child hood brought up with Transformers and random Japanese cartoons (Battle of the Planets), but I expected the future to be more futuristic. So to this end I would like to salute those designs available on the street today that do indeed look the way I expected the future too 🙂

Its an odd sock epidemic here at the Nutt-Cave (mum and dad own the Nutt-House). I have six odd socks! thankfully I have enough matching pairs, but like biros I swear they are conspiring against me!

I’ve known Jeremy for some time (3+ years), but I have never ever seen his face. Not becuase he is horribly disfigured or anything, just camera shy. Which is odd as he certainly isn’t microphone shy.

Jeremy (Alaska’s Voice of GPF) and Iris (The Woman of a Thousand Names) are hitting Europe. They touch down in London tomorrow for their European tour. Be afraid, be very afraid. I hope to see them mid month and if the gods (aka my boss) are favourable I will be able to take time off to show them around ‘Scotsland’.

New Watch

I bought the watch shown in the cool devices section of the site. The photo totally distorts the look, the display is smaller compared to the frame than shown. Its still fairly big, but the frame is huge. Also my old watch used a red light rather than the green on this one. Red just looked more classy. Hohum, but good value and the nice ebay man gave me a spare battery.

I’m seriously considering leaving Word of Warcraft. Whilst an enjoyable game at times I’ve started to loose interest because my friends are hardly ever on and anyone I meet online easily charge up the levels as I have RL things like work and a social life that get in the way of playing. That and soloing on a game that charges you £9 a month for the privilege is starting to get a little dull.
